My yearly running cumulative mileage has exceeded 20 miles! Keep an eye on the sidebar to track my progress. I think I'll be able to run the required 3.1 miles in time for the Revlon Run Walk for Breast Cancer 5K.
In knitting news I realized everything I am working on is a long term project. So I decided to whip out a kitty bed. Thanks to Wendy of Wendyknits fame for providing a free and easy pattern here. The only modification I made was to knit it using the magic loop on my Denise needles. Now I just need to figure a way of tricking my overly intelligent pet cat into thinking it's not something he should sleep in.

I'm progressing nicely on the Rebecca Eyelet pattern, the Classy Slip Up socks, and the Helen's lace shawl. Does it really hurt anyone if I'm knitting two different socks using two different patterns at the same time? Hopefully the answer is "no" as I'm getting ready to start a third sock which matches neither the first nor the second. I'll start as soon as I find some smaller addis. I have a 7.5 st/in gauge on the US 1's and I need 9 st/in for this fantastic new pattern, with stash yarn no less!

This incredible Wedding Cross Stitch was done by my friend Jen. It is entirely of her own design. She was able to piece it together by asking a few simple questions about our wedding. We had marigold centerpieces (which I put together for $13 apiece), and cicadas as special guests. She did a beautiful job. In addition to being extremely talented at Cross Stitch she is also a writer. Who else thinks she needs to start her own blog? Thanks Jen for the incredible gift!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I love the colors you’re using in the cat bed. What yarn is it?

    La,
I just registered for the Run/Walk today! Thanks for the great cat bed solution, I’ll give it a go when the felted bed is ready. I used a smattering of Lamb’s Pride, some worsted, some bulky. Most of it was stash yarn as an added bonus :)

    :-D
I am so glad you like it. And someday, I too will have a craft blog.

Ooooh! Thanks for reminding me about the Revlon Run/Walk. I need to get on the ball and register. As for the cat bed, you can put something in it that is cat-friendly, though not cat-specific, (like a couple of old magazine), tricking your cat into thinking it’s a new magazine rack, therefore ensuring his inevitable compulsion to sit in it.
