Thursday Confession: My Christmas Tree is Still Up

Although there are proportionally more needles on the floor around it than on said tree. The lights have started to untangle themselves from the tree trunk so they can abandon ship before the tree collapses into a heap on the ground.
I've started to view the other decorations in the house as "art" rather than "Christmas Decorations That Will Never Be Put Away."
I knit just like I leave my Christmas decorations up past their prime, hither, thither, and yon. I'm forced to grudge knit a minimum of 2 rows per day on the Shaped Triangle if I have any hope of ever finishing it. I've reached this point on lace before, I call it the Wall and liken it to the point where Marathon Runners run out of glycogen after about 20 miles. I've knit hundreds and hundreds of yards of lace and damnit my glycogen is gone. So I must resort to taking it one day at a time, one row at a time, much like the marathoners who take it one step at a time.
I hate to get all Drill Sergeant on myself but sometimes it's the only way to get things done.
