Passing through the Grief

And she has it right. I've been knitting like mad while I try to process what's happened. I overheard the Husband telling one of our family friends in hushed tones that I'd be finished with this sweater in record time, and I think he may be right. Part of the biggest struggle for me is that Janet and I gave birth within 3 months of each other, and she passed just 12 short weeks after. It strikes me in the most vulnerable places.
It's strangely comforting to find unexpected joy when things are rough. I can't quite describe how much it lifts me up to hear the Husband and Ficklebaby playing together after I've gone to bed. His soft words and her happy velociraptor squeals buoy me in a way I never thought possible.
I'd like to take this opportunity to say we appreciate every comment, thought and prayer sent our way. Thank you.

“happy velociraptor squeals” – lol! Describes it perfectly.
EZ definitely had a good idea there. I’m keeping you and your family in my prayers.
