I found my shoes for summer 2007.

May I present the $2 shoes. I found the shoes The shoes found me (on sale at 80% off) and I artfully presented a $10 coupon at the checkout reducing the total to $2.14. I will wear these two dollar shoes til their two dollar soles fall off. I'll have got my money's worth.
Baby girl has also found some shoes.

I have coveted baby converse for ages but found myself unable to pay so much for shoes that will fit for so little time. And miraculously within the span of 24 hours she was bestowed a pink pair and a black pair. All I need is to find that "Anarchy in the Pre-K" onsie again (with the right accessories) and I will have the perfectly dressed baby.
I hope we can form a mohawk out of her baby fine hair. Daddy will find a way.
Finally a sock club that fits. You know how sometimes you are reading about something and you wonder why didn't you didn't think of it yourself? I had that sensation recently when I was reading Monica's blog about her “I wish I could join a sock yarn club but I already have way too much sock yarn in my stash” woes. The rules of IWICJASYCBIAHWTMSYIMS are as follows
WowStashClub.jpg
1. Once a month, go into your stash.
2. Find a skein of sock yarn.
3. Take a picture of it and post it on your blog or just wave it around and go “WOW! Look what I got this month!”
4. You get extra points if the skein is still in the bag or box you brought it home in.
5. You get super extra points if the receipt is still with the sock yarn.
6. You get quadruple points if you actually make a pair of socks out of that skein.
What do you do with the points? If you earn 90 million by the end of the year, you get to buy more sock yarn!

Wow. I am particularly touched by rule number three. Stay tuned for my Sock Stash discovery.

La-the shoes came from my favorite shoe pushers, DSW. There’s one in the Westminster Mall.

    yup, I’m in!
and exactly WHERE did you find those $2 shoes?

I love the shoes (all of them)! I’ve always coveted a pair of converses, since my super-cool dad’s friend’s son had a punkish, bleach splattered pair. He was a teenager, I was a munchkin. Now he’s a tattoo artist, probably still wearing the same damn shoes. My favorite boyfriend from high school wore a red pair with his tux for his prom date (unfortunately, not with me). I try them on now and then, but they don’t fit me well at all and then I’m sad. It must be because my feet were not molded to their lovely curves in infancy.
