Clearly she gets this from her Dad's side of the family.

Oh, it’s wrong for me to laugh.
My niece had the same reaction this year:
Personally I’d be kind of freaked out myself.

I know I’d be upset if my mama called me a ’ho!

She braved the Disney Creatures of the Light and was scared of Santa? It was probably those shades he’s sporting. Santa. Dude.

Am I twisted because I like pictures of crying babies with Santa?? I mean you are plopping a kid on the lap of a freky stranger. I think tears are a normal reaction.
I do remember my nephew’s first time. He was about 6 months and my Mom and I took him. He didn’t take to strangers either (still doesn’t at 6) so we kind of backed him on to Santa’s lap. He never knew what was going on and didn’t glimpse the weird guy in the red suit until after the picture had been snapped. The wails started then though!

Hard to believe this was the same child who, just two weeks ago, stared down five oversized stuffed animals without so little as a flinch.

Awwww poor Maya. I don’t blame her though. Santa is scary!

OMG – too funny! You know, for years my brother was terrified of Santa. There are no pictures of him with Santa throughout most of his childhood that he doesn’t have a screaming red face.
