Caterpillars transform into Cocooned looking aliens before our very eyes
one chrysalis
Fiber turns into spun yarn as if by magic (but really by 3 weeks of cussing hard work, 167 yards from 4 ounces of superwash wool)
sherwood superwash wool, fiber by Twisted Fiber Arts
Singles before ply
And crayons into toddler works of MAYA!! Not on the Window Sill Art
The next major event in my life comes this weekend, from Stay at Home Mama to Work at Home on-my-thesis Mama. I'm nervous and relying on girl scout cookies for fortification. Which brings me to my last (and biggest) transformation, too big for my trousers. You can thank me later for the dearth of photo documentation on that subject.

People who are completing degree requirements get a special dispensation with respect to pants and are allowed to wear sweats with loose elastic or drawstring waists. Ask me how I know this…

Pretty yarn. Don’t you love how every available surface becomes a canvas? And if you’ve got girl scout cookies over there, please share…

Oh how I identify with the crayon thing. (We won’t speak of the trouser thing.) Nice handspun!
