In Search of Swine Flu

I spent a lot of time writing this haiku which pretty much sums up my feelings on the recent Swine Flu hysteria. I hope you enjoy it in the spirit in which it is intended.

This weekend we went to California Adventure in search of Swine Flu.
We looked high.
We looked low.

We even looked in our shamless plug.
Finally we located flu but sadly it was only the Avian variety.

Maybe next year we'll get really lucky and find Swine.

Y’know, I don’t think this is one bit funny! My cousin had swine flu and in the end he wouldn’t eat unless we threw table scraps into his pen. And when the ears, snout and curly tail appeared…well, we knew the end was near. Finally, he begged us to eat him (slow roasted and smoked with hickory bbq sauce) I have to admit though, he was rather tasty….

And I thought I was too tired to laugh after the crazy weekend at MD Sheep & Wool… thanks for the giggle and I’m borrowing that link! BTW- just for a chuckle- we went to a Target near the fairgrounds to pick up some extra supplies Friday night, and overheard that ALL the Targets were sold out of hand sanitizer.
Great shot of that hummingbird- and how can I get me one of those tape measures? (since hamsters and bunnies like to chew the ends off of mine…)

Whew! I’m so glad to find out that I don’t have it.
No wonder you’re not done with your thesis. You’re writing poetry. When the muse hits…….
….see if it can take out that hat too. Good. Gawd.

    Love it!

Thank goodness yours isn’t an Egyptian haiku, otherwise the last syllable would be BANG!

oh my…. laughing. so . hard…. trying not to spit coffee.
I am right there with ya’ on this one…. the media wants to keep us in mass hysteria so we do not shift our focus to things being done right in front of us…yep I am totally a conspiracy theorist…
remember remember the 5th of november.
