How to stay Busy --or-- House cleanliness is highly overrated

Ever have one of those months when it seems like you're so busy you can't sit down (or clean a toilet) even for a minute? This past four weeks has been a whirlwind of pattern making, submitting designs, article writing, prepping for teaching some local classes and knitting shop samples. And somewhere in there Maya gave up napping for a hellish two weeks.

Maya is quite comfortable around yarn in general.
growing up
The other day she held up some mochi plus and asked me quite seriously "Maya yarn?" How could I say no?
phat fiber september sampler
Then yesterday she commandeered my Phat Fiber box and stole away with a knitty and color sample. We're already quite familiar with Sarah's work and so it's no surprise Maya went right for her fiber. At least I can rest easy knowing Maya has good taste. And who knows? She may reach a level of Stash Accumulated Beyond Life Expectancy before she's 10. Oh who am I kidding. Likely by the age of 5. Just this morning my husband suggested I ought assign her the auxiliary stash. And by auxiliary I mean the menacing amount of fiber and yarn threatening to take over the front part of the house.

Speaking my new muse, Brown Sheep Nature Spun Fingering weight yarn.

Now if you'll excuse me I must return to beating back the laundry, which is fixing to stage a coup.

That box looks fabulous. Well, the stuff IN the box. ;)
I can always sit. Laundry and the rest of it? Not so much.

The laundry may be thinking of staging a coup- but even if it does, it will remain loyal- laundry and housework will never leave you…
Congrats on all the patterns & stuff!

That orange and earthy brown bun at about 10:00 in the lineup—it’s totally begging to be picked up and petted.

Death by stash sounds so much more attractive than death by laundry! And cleaner too!

Waaaaaaaait a minute, Suzoo’s is your LYS? I used to live right around the corner before I moved down to San Diego last July! Small world. I thought they were going out of business, but now I see that their website is looking good and you’re selling patterns and teaching classes and all kinds of good stuff. Yay! :)

Congrats on the publishing and knitting classes.
If it makes you fee better my DS loves to get into my yarn.Unfortunately it is usually when I am knitting with it! LOL
BTW – totally get the mood of the last picture. I usually feel the same way. Unfortunately I am in a cube all day so the time for cleaning / knitting is very limited. > I need to clean tonight.
