Woolynista
Main Entry:wool·yn·is·ta
Pronunciation: \?\?wu?-l?-?n?s-t?\
Function: noun
Etymology: wooly + -ista (as in fashionista)
Date: 2009
: a designer, promoter, or follower of the latest wool.
That's a new word coined by Jennifer. I think it's fitting although it may not convey the depth of my mania obsession interests. In fact the entire craft room may not really convey the depth of my collection. Although I try mightily to obscure just the breadth and width of it all with clever use of rubbermaid bins, smoke, mirrors, with a dash of untidiness and a sprinkling of "featured on the local news due to death by falling yarn."

I've finally finished another shawl, this one was knit using Rio de la Plata and many mornings on the Disneyland Railroad.

I've got some revamping to do on the pattern. The yarn started felting after a cool soak in the sink with some wool wash and minimal agitation. Plus all that hard work I did creating the design is obscured by the variegated yarn. When I do these photo shoots I always have something on my mind for inspiration. This morning's inspiration was "I really hope that big, fat, juicy spiders will not fall out of this tree and on to my head."
My cotton is growing beautifully. I still have that buggy visitor named "Admiral Shrimp Bug" marching around the woody stalks of cotton. He's been overseeing something although I'm not entirely sure what.

His presence isn't affecting the plants negatively that I can tell.

Admiral Shrimp Bug thanks you for your support.

And me? I'm working on my next design while wearing yarn hair.

Thank you – I now have that song stuck in my head!
I never knew cotton had such pretty flowers. Good to know Admiral Shrimp Bug is just minding his own business there.

I love it! So is that flower on the cotton plant, or something else? It’s gorgeous. And I would so wear a hat like that—haven’t outgrown the stage of being delighted at driving my kids crazy (while they’re laughing.)

I was thinking valium but wool does sound better.
And yahoo! For the shop/teaching thing. Not Admiral Shrimp Bug, whatever his good points may be.
